ABOUT THE FINLANDIA MOTEL:
The original Finlandia Motel was built by Bob Rousseau for his Finnish bride, Eila Halonen.
Their
children grew up in the shadow of Mt. Shasta, and the family still operates the
expanded Finlandia today.
Now the family home is available for rental.
Guests seeking accommodation with space for
socializing, a fully equipped kitchen, access to separate
dining room and private barbeque
area will delight in the three-bedroom, two-bath lodge.
The Finlandia harkens to the day when highway motels provided the
easiest, most affordable access
to our best getaways and adventures.
The Finlandia Motel is located approximately 10 miles form the Mt. Shasta
Board and Ski Park which offers cross country and downhill skiing in the winter
and mountain biking and lift rides in the summer. The head waters of the
Sacramento River is located at the Mt. Shasta City Park. The upper Sacramento and McCloud Rivers are
minutes away!
